Boys!!!

(Levi's Knees...Already bruised up!!)

Raising Boys

I scrub the wall of fingerprints,
Pick up the mounds of clothes.
I sweep the dirt that shoes track in-
Wish I could use a hose!

Meals are served from dawn to dark,
Dirty dishes crowd the sink.
Just when they're washed and put away-
Everyone wants a drink!

The washer pulls the dirty grime
From pants worn thin and patched.
They look so very neat and clean-
Yuck, look what the pockets hatched!

Broken bones and bloody knees,

I should have been a nurse.
I take it all in shaky stride-
Just grateful it's not worse!

Screams and shouts and arguments
Test the keeping of my cool.
They left the neighbor's faucet on-
See their new front yard pool!

A soothing bath is ecstasy,
A reward at the end of my rope.
Raising boys isn't really bad-
But first I must wash the soap!

A rose can say I Love You,
Orchids can enthrall;
But a weed bouquet in a chubby fist,
Oh my, that says it all!

If I Knew..............

This poem was read
today at my Aunts
funeral.....
I think it is a great reminder
to us all to hold our loved ones
as much as possible
and not take for granted
our time with them.
(better have your tissues handy!!!)

IF I KNEW.....

If I knew it would be the last time

That I'd see you fall asleep,

I would tuck you in more tightly
and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time
I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time,
I could spare an extra minute
to stop and say "I love you,"
instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.

If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
Well I'm sure you'll have so many more,
so I can let just this one slip away.

For surely there's always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance
to make everything just right.

There will always be another day
to say "I love you,"
And certainly there's another chance
to say our "Anything I can do?"

But just in case I might be wrong,
and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you
and I hope we never forget.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone,
young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance
you get to hold your loved one tight.

So if you're waiting for tomorrow,
why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
you'll surely regret the day,

That you didn't take that extra time
for a smile, a hug, or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone,
what turned out to be their one last wish.

So hold your loved ones close today,
and whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them
and that you'll always hold them dear

Take time to say "I'm sorry,"
"Please forgive me," "Thank you," or "It's okay."
And if tomorrow never comes,
you'll have no regrets about today.

In Loving Memory.....

Today we say goodbye
to my Dear Aunt Roena.

My A. Roena suffered from MSA
and was confined to a wheelchair
for the last 5 year of her life, and
unable to speak for the last 2 years.
Her brain was still active though.
Even in her state of Health...she was
still trying to communicate to us though
laughter and sounds.
We know that she is up in heaven
dancing for joy and singing her
heart out!!!

She will really be missed!!!

May god be with her Husband and children
so that they find peace in knowing that
they will see her again!!

We love you Aunt Roena
and miss you so much!!!

Love,
Becca and family

What do YOU do on cold miserable days???

The Kids were so Bored on Wednesday!!

Decorating Calendars....
and Making their own
"look & find" rice bags
SO EASY!!!
Just dig to the bottom of your
kids' toy bins and find those
loose odds and end toys
that they have LONG forgotten about....
And add them to a Ziplock bag.
write down all the toys and colors...
then fill the bag with 1 1/2 Cups
of rice.
Tape the ends shut and there you have it!!
LOOK & FIND rice bags!!
It was a big hit!!
We also made Salt dough!!
I made them mix in the color...
I know I'm mean lol...
Levi HATED to get his hands all red!!!
Can ya tell???
Zacky had NO problem with it....as you can see lol
I had them make something for me...

Yes, it was our Anniversary this weekend too.
It fell on Easter Sunday in fact.
Because it was a holiday weekend, we decided
to postpone our celebration of our 6th year
together until the last week of April.
We did however go see a movie!!
(Thanks mom for watching the kids)

I will be sure to post about our getaway
when we finally DO get away :0)

Until then....
