OH BOY, Am I lovin Springtime!!!

(we tore up the grass and planted
some flowers that are supposed
to attract hummingbirds
and butterflies....awesome huh?)

OK.....I have to admit,
I am so addicted to
gardening!
There is just something
about it that makes me
feel so happy and
light-hearted.

Anyways, here are some
photos to show the progress
of our Garden/Yard.
What do you think?

(Mom gave us a couple of her Lavender bushes
to plant in front. I always loved them in her
Garden, So im hoping i will like them just as much in ours)

(I planted Carrots in a pot to see how well they grow.
I read on the internet that this is the easiest way
to grow them. We will see.)

(I promised Kaydee that we would plant some purple flowers
in honor of Grandma Boni. So we got alot of different
kinds and mixed them up. Purple was Mom's favorite color!)

(From left to right, I have planted Snow Peas, Carrots & Onions)

(Soon I will plant Cucumbers on the left, then my Tomatoes of course)

( Next to my Strawberries here i will be planting Summer Squash and Zucchini)

(In the white planter are some more Purple flowers, Then there are my
Cucumbers and Squashes. In the Square planters there are
Hot Peppers and Yet another Tomato plant. Altogether I have 10
Tomato Plants LoL)

( I even filled up our bird feeder!! This sits right out of my
Kitchen window. At first i thought i would hate it,
But really....Now i just LOVE watching the birds!!)

The Gardener's Morning
The robin's song at daybreak
Is a clarion call to me.

Get up and get out in the garden,
For the morning hours flee.

I cannot resist the summons,
What earnest gardener could?
For the golden hours of morning
Get into the gardener's blood.

The magic spell is upon me,
I'm glad that I did not wait;
For life's at its best in the morning,
As you pass through the garden gate.

This is Shiree, I used to live there. The yard and your garden look so great!! I will warn you that we had deer come in the yard, and there are a lot of stray cats, so you might need to put something around the garden to keep them out, (although they might be contained by your dog.) I would just hate to have the deer eat all your hard work!
